Vibrant Sky

During Autumn and winter 2020/21 when the days were long, dark and lockdowned, I worked on a series of bold, expressive, vibrant skies to uplift myself and the viewer. I experimented with different forms of paint and was very excited to work with the fluidity and viscosity of acrylic and pva, pouring paint on to the canvas, using palette knives and kitchen utensils and moving it about until I was satisfied with the end result which was always chaotic and surprising. The paintings measure 50 x 60cm on canvas.
