My professional background lies in the fields of theatre and fine art. I initially trained as an actor at the Manchester Poly School of Theatre, subsequently working professionally for several years. During this period, I also taught drama and acting skills facilitating workshops with adults and adults with disabilities.

Following a period devoted to raising two children, I undertook a BA (hons) in Fine Art:painting at Manchester Metropolitan University. I later completed a Masters degree at the same institution, specialising in video and performed photoworks. I went on to exhibit widely across the UK, Scandinavia and the United States. During this time I also conducted workshops, residencies and commissions, worked as an Associate Lecturer at MMU and tutored disabled students.

Ten years ago, I relocated to Hebden Bridge where I resumed painting, focussing on the production of abstract and experimental landscapes, drawing inspiration from the surrounding environment and places I visited.

Concurrently, I developed a practice in creative writing, producing poetry, flash fiction, short stories and plays, some of which have been published. Over the past years, my engagement with performance has re-emerged through appearances in short films and community and amateur theatre productions. I am now represented by a professional acting agent.

I aim for my work - across visual art, writing and performance - to be both engaging and thought-provoking. Please do not hesitate to contact me for sales, further information or potential collaborations.
